Disco seems to be going two ways at the moment: there’s the tropical summery vibe a la Plastic Plates, then there’s a more forward-thinking electro style which acts like Peter & The Magician have been touting.

The Figures are a new band from London, consisting of Jamie Blanco and James Delay, who are already getting some love from the always on the money TMS, their first track is ‘Velo’ and it’s a lovely summery slow-mo piece of disco, it’s beautiful, delicate and truly unique. We can see this making it on to a lot of mixtapes as an amazing intro track.
