As a little thank you to their fans London disco duo the Cosmonauts are giving away their latest creation for free just in time for the weekend. They’ve dialled down the disco, and gone for a stripped back early house vibe, however, they do throw in a cosmic vocal to give the track a bit more presence. It’s not vintage Cosmonauts, but as a gift it’s certainly worth a download.

London disco duo Cosmonauts have just released their latest single ‘Stardust’ on their own imprint SuperTrooper. Disco seems to be going two ways at the moment: there’s the tropical summery vibe a la Plastic Plates, then there’s a more forward-thinking electro style which acts like Peter & The Magician have been touting.

Belgian producer Kolombo has done the business for the new Cosmonauts single ‘Stardust’ – it’s a full-on brooding house work-out, with plenty of space-age chords, intense bass tones and sparkling arpeggios. After this we can’t wait to hear the original.

And will no doubt keep themselves in your consciousness with their dub remix of Moby’s ‘The Right Thing’.
The Figures are a new band from London, consisting of Jamie Blanco and James Delay, who are already getting some love from the always on the money TMS, their first track is ‘Velo’ and it’s a lovely summery slow-mo piece of disco, it’s beautiful, delicate and truly unique. We can see this making it on to a lot of mixtapes as an amazing intro track.
