Blende’s fruitful relationship with Eskimo Records continues a pace with the Swede-via-London about to release his next EP and the follow-up to last year’s ‘Rikki‘ and ‘Fake Love‘.

Out April 7 via the Ghent-based disco label, ‘Paramount‘ sees Johan Blende on sublime form as he unleashes three contrasting tracks of electrified disco and boogie.

The title track ‘Paramount‘ is a thoroughbred piece of sparkly-disco which is backed by bulbous piano chords, glassy pads and a basslines that’ll transport you straight to Miami beach circa 1986.

Sparkle‘ offers up a decent counter to ‘Paramount‘ as Blende creates a slick piece of boogiefied pop. Whilst it might not serve the Swede’s dance-floor potential it does showcase his ability to craft a tracks of differing intensities.

And that leads nicely onto the final track ‘Plush‘ which sees Blende swap his nostalgic style for something a little more futuristic and purposeful – it actually might our favourite from the producer thus far. There we said it.

‘Paramount’ is out April 7 via Eskimo.
