We’ve been impressed with everything we’ve heard from David Harks throughout 2017, including both his solo work and as part of the excellent Safetalk, seriously if you’ve not check out the latest Safetalk stuff you really need to.

Anyway, Mr Hark’s is back with another solo effort and it might well be his most spellbinding release thus far.

‘Avalon’ is a tropical-tinged slice of psychedelic synth pop that was recorded with Pete Cattermoul from Teleman and is being released on a new French label, Splinter, set up by former Ed Banger artists Vicarious Bliss, who we’ve been a fan of for a while too.

Over the past couple of years David has been quietly building up a reputation with his band Safetalk and solo releases on labels like Sunday Best, Kitsune and Eskimo Recordings that have seen him tipped by the likes of DIY, Clash, Neon Gold, Thump and many more.

His most recent collaboration with nu-disco producer Satin Jackets came out last month and is looking like it’ll have done over a million plays on Spotify alone by next week.

Check out ‘Avalon’ below and be sure to check out the latest Safetalk track too, you won’t regret it.
