Just Kennedy, like a lot of people, has been inspired into music by artists like Daft Punk, Boys Noize and Kavinsky.
Having quit his job in corporate America to pursue a career in the music, instead of dispatching music into the internet ether, he’s gonna donate any sales of his music via his website to Doctors Without Borders.
“I’ve always believed that music has the power to do a lot of good so for this first release I wanted to make the EP ‘Floppy’ available as a free download when people donate to Doctors Without Borders through my website at justkennedy.com/music.”
‘Digital Connection’ features the usual tropes you’d expect from an artist that’s been inspired by some of the artists named above – but there’s also a lot to like about the ‘Digital Connection’.
The punchy drums and synths are very cool, but on the other hand, the vocals don’t aren’t quite as well executed as you might hope for, and that “ahhh” between verses has no place in in the track whatsoever – but despite those minor infractions, it’s a promising start from Kennedy.
Also, if he reaches his charitable goal, he’s going to let his Muay Thai coach punch him in the stomach – and who doesn’t want to see that?
