The Red Bull Music Academy has suspended this week’s planned events in Paris – which included Jean Michel Jarre, Nozinja and Teki Latex – until at least November 19.
The academy took the decision after taking advice from security services after Friday’s horrific attacks – which included the massacre at the Bataclan concert venue, where 87 concert-goers where gunned down – which is near RBMA’s Parisian base at the Gaite Lyrique.
This week should have been the start of the second term of the RBMA, where the second group of participants arrive for two weeks of lectures, masterclasses and evening events in Paris.
This week’s planned events include a public lecture by Jean Michel Jarre, a live show featuring Nozinja and a ballroom party with Vjuan Allure and Teki Latex.
The RBMA also confirmed that no one from the academy was caught up in the attacks, where over 125 people lost their lives in multiple attacks across the city on Friday evening.
Our thoughts are with the victims, their families and the people Paris during this difficult time.
