Having setup his second imprint Fayer Records, which has released music from the likes of David August, Agoria and Adriatique, Spain’s Edu Imbernon takes the reins for the imprint’s fourth release with the smouldering, ‘Fixing Fires’.

The label’s MO so far has been bridging the worlds of indie-electronica with the more club-focused sounds of house and techno, and it’s clearly working as the label has already achieved two Beatport number 1s and support from everyone from BBC Radio 1 to Mixmag.

‘Fixing Fires’ was born in Edu’s beachside studio on the outskirts of his hometown Valencia alongside Archivist and jazz musician Rory Simmons. The release – which is out now – also features a well-crafted remix from techno deity Maya Jane Coles.

We grabbed 5 minutes with Edu Imbernon to pick his brains about his favourite club, the first track he bought and who he owes a debt of gratitude to for his continued success.
