“Nothing and no one will stop Paris from dancing,” say Paris nightclub owners in joint statement

Understandably, quite a few shows in Paris have been cancelled in the wake of the horrific Paris terror attacks.

But Paris’ nightclubs will be open as usual this weekend after a defiant joint statement from the city’s club owners was released this afternoon.

“Nothing and no one will stop Paris from dancing,” the statement reads. “Music, dancing, sharing, meeting, social bonds [and] diversity are values that we carry and that these terrorists have targeted for destruction.”

Confirmed to re-open are A La Folie Paris, Badaboum, Batofar, Concrete, Djoon, Faust, Glazart, Gibus, Java, La Machine Du Moulin Rouge, Le Queen, Rex Club, Social Club, Showcase, Virgo, Wanderlust, YoYo – Palais de Tokyo and Zig Zag.

Security will be tighten in light of the terror attacks, which saw terrorists burst in the one of city’s venues, The Bataclan, and began indiscriminately shooting into the crowd at the Eagles of Death Metal concert on Friday evening killing 90 and injuring scores of music fans.
