Watch Giuseppe Acito’s Toa Mata Band recreate Daft Punk’s legendary break-out track ‘Da Funk’ using LEGO’s Bionicle range of toys.

Toa Mata Band is the brainchild of Italian music producer Giuseppe Acito who was born in Taranto in southern Italy in 1967.

For his latest project, Acito has wired up LEGO’s Bionicle range of toys to a load of servos which are controlled Arduino microprocessor, and then programmed the whole lot via midi to play Daft Punk’s ‘Da Funk’ using a range of instruments including Fender Jazz Bass, Finger BassLine, Coron Drum, Korg DS10, Nintendo DS, Boss HC-2 and Moog Animoog.
