BBC Worldwide Productions’ Daft Punk Documentary Given June 24 Release Date

A Daft Punk documentary that has been made in conjunction with BBC Worldwide Productions France has been given a release date of June 24.

Commissioned by Canal + in France, the documentary was unveiled last year and promises a candid look at Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo’s 20-year career, which has spanned 4 studio albums, 12 million albums sales and six Grammy Awards.

Written and directed by Hervé Martin Delpierre and co-written by Marina Rozenman, the documentary will air on Canal + in France, and hopefully we made available soon after to everyone else.

The film is expected to be 80 minutes long and we see interviews with Daft Punk collaborators Pharrell and Giorgio Moroder; Daniel Dauzerre, manager of Darlin’, the duo’s first band; Busy P, their former manager and now head of Ed Banger Records; and Kanye West and Paul Williams.

As soon as someone uploads it to the internet we’ll let you know. In other Daft news, it looks like there’s no chance of the robots scoring Tron 3 as Disney has pulled the plug on the film.
