Arcadia’s 50-Tonne Spider Is Coming To Bristol City Centre On September 4th-5th

One of the many highlights of Glastonbury for any dance music fan is Arcadia, 50-tonnes of military hardware that has been recycled and turned into a giant mechanical spider.

Usually only found at Glastonbury, the production team behind mechanical sculpture will be bringing their creation to Bristol City centre for two days of music, and it will be Arcadia’s only UK event outside of the festival.

arererSet to play the two-day event will be the usual suspects: Annie Mac, Congo Natty, Eats Everything, Leftfield, Roni Size Reprazent, Monki & Gotsome.

Arcadia is being brought to Bristol as part of the city’s year as European Green Capital, and will see the conversion of Arcadia’s signature flames to biofuel – creating the world’s first recycled biofuel pyrotechnics system.

It’s one of six projects part funded by Arts Council England’s Exceptional Award as part of Bristol’s year as European Green Capital.
