By day, Rob Anderson is Pioneer’s in-house jedi, he heads up Pioneer’s product demonstration team where they teach the world’s best DJs and consumers how to really utilise Pioneer’s extensive range of DJ gear and Rekord box software.
By night, though, Anderson runs, alongside Rik Parkinson, London club night YØU.R, which has made a big splash in a short amount of time with some expertly crafted intimate London parties that have seen everyone from James Zabiela to more recently Hot Creation’s Richy Ahmed play to intimate crowds.
So, naturally, the next step for Mr Anderson is a foray into the production world, and that’s what we have today. Anderson’s first piece of music comes in the form of a bootleg of Doorly’s ‘Boogaloo’, flipping the original from a soulful, tribal shuffler into a well-hone slice of ice-cool tech-house.
Stream his effort above and lookout for the next YØU.R party, where Milanese duo Flashmob will be playing to an intimate crowd in London on June 27.
