Legendary production duo Groove Armada have announced that they will release a new album, ‘Little Black Book’, this summer via Jamo & Andy George’s Moda Black imprint.
Part of the imprint’s album concept, it’s the second release of Moda Black’s Little Black Book series. Part album, part remix album, part compilation; the Little Black Book contains 8 brand new Groove Armada tracks and 10 exclusive new remixes of classic GA records.
World renowned as a live band and as house DJs, the duo’s new album will focus on the duo’s love of all forms of underground house music.
“People were saying if you’re going to write new material you need to put it out on a major, get the band back together, unleash the machine,” said the duo. “But we don’t want to do that. We want to play and make house music, and that’s all”.
Very much in the mould of the duo’s ‘Do It After Dark’ compilations, ‘Alright’ sees the duo back to their hypnotic best, as the duo weave soulful vocals samples over low-slung basslines and hook-y top lines for a classic cut of Groove Armada house.
