French producer Mr Gonzo continues to impress, with his new EP ‘Heart, Soul & Madness‘ falling squarely in the ‘fun’ category of electronic music.
But don’t be fool by its happy disposition as the Frenchman’s latest EP has been picking up support from the likes of Annie Mac and Digitalism, and after closer inspection it’s easy to see why.
The EP’s opener ‘Heart‘ is basically a disco-house version of Panjoo, and while that might not sound all that revolutionary it’s nice to hear some house music with a bit of fun and excitement baked in.
Elsewhere the EP segues from French touch of ‘Soul‘ to more brash, in-your-face pop house of ‘Madness‘ – but it’s ‘Heart‘ that’s the real winner here. With more releases in the pipe line you’d be a fool not to be keeping tabs on Mr Gonzo in 2015 and beyond.
