Seeing as were in a bit of a Le Knight Club mood this week, we thought you might want to get your hands on the Knight Club remix of Zoot Woman’s ‘Taken It All‘ for free.
If you didn’t already know, Zoot Woman’s Soundcloud is treasure chest of free downloads of classic staples like the Paper Faces remix of ‘Automatic‘ and ‘Grey Day‘, and so much more.
The band fronted by the Blake brothers, and super producer Stuart Price, are about to release their new album – and have just unveiled a brand-new video for their current single ‘Don’t Tear Yourself Apart‘ courtesy of Uwe Flade.
Johnny Blake said about the video: “Uwe Flade completely understood ‘Don’t Tear Yourself Apart’ both lyrically and musically.
“He has made a video that captures the immediacy and emotion of the song perfectly, to give it a whole new dimension. There hasn’t been a Zoot Woman video quite like this before. It was a pleasure to work with him.”
Blake reckons the group’s new album is his favourite so far: “It is without a doubt my favourite Zoot Woman album. The title ‘Star Climbing’ is about the idea of reaching for something beyond what you know.”
Stuart Price is also excited by the direction the album took on, too: “We recorded Star Climbing over a three year period between our studios, working on songs and lyrics until we felt like we had found the albums direction. It is our most distinctive album to date, combining all our different tastes and styles into one.”
‘Don’t Tear Yourself Apart‘ is out now with remixes from Michael Mayer, Chopstick & Johnjon and Fischer & Kleber.
Album out August 29 via Embassy One.
And some other classics you need in your life.
