Well isn’t this exciting – new music with a real narrative! Haywyre has a new EP out on Monstercat, and preview track ‘Permutate‘ absolutely refuses to sit still.
In a step into electro territory Haywyre has produced a track that travels effortlessly through a range of ideas, never pausing for breath as the track bounces from style to style. It’s easy to appreciate some of the more ambient layers present (reminiscent of Flying Lotus, a comparison not made lightly), but there’s definitely scope for dancing here too; I defy anyone not to start moving as the big snare makes it’s intro around 2 minutes and 40 seconds, although in all honesty the groove is so infectious that you’ll probably have been gyrating from the beginning.
