Electro enthusiasts gather round we have a surprise for you: electro that doesn’t sound like it was knocked-up by a foetus with a cracked copy of Ableton.

Berlin native Allionyx has just released his ‘Fake Acid‘ EP via the always-on-the-money OMGITM; they are a noisy bunch from Germany who specialise in a raucous version of techno.

Actually, Alloinyx’s new EP isn’t that techno orientated, the lead track ‘Fake Acid‘ is straight-up banging electro, and immediately reminded us of Rex The Dog’s electro-fuelled productions circa 2008-2009. It’s that punchy beep-y bleeb-y electro-clash from a time when bleeps were so much cooler than air-horn noises.

The second track is slightly different yet it still keeps the frenetic pace, and there’s a rather nice interlude with a vocal that makes it a different preposition to the title track but no less entertaining.

The final cherry on the top is ‘Tiger Furs And Glass Tabies‘, which has to be the most random name for a track we’ve probably ever heard, thankfully the track isn’t anything of a sort; it’s a bulbous stomper that’s set to a pseudo hip hop beat, blending shimmering guitars with beaming hooks, with the resulting track falling somewhere between Kavinsky & Siriusmo.
