Earl Grey’s remix of Clique Talk’s ‘Uncomfortable’ sounds strikingly similar to some of Rex The Dog’s remixes of the Knife. In fact we’d go one step further and declare Grey’s latest remix to be on par with such synth royalty.
His latest remix is steeped in analog glory, from the zappy hook to the gooey arp’d bassline, it has everything you could ever want. Then there’s the vocal that just screams “I wanna be Karin Dreijer Andersson”, which isn’t a criticism but merely an observation.
There’s no release date for the remix, but if you kick up enough of a fuss I’m sure the powers that be will listen. Well that’s a lie – but it can’t hurt can it?
