Believe it or not but Apple’s App Store is 5 years old, and to celebrate Apple has chosen a slew of apps that you can download for free, including Native Instruments’ impressive Traktor DJ App.

The App has been out for a few months, and it wouldn’t be unfair to say that it’s the best mixing app available on any mobile device. Based on the companies industry leading PC and Mac software, the app allows anyone with an iPad or iPhone to create professional mixes on the move.

Some of the clever features include the ability for the app to draw music from your iTunes, so there’s no need to upload any mp3s to the app, better still you can record your mixes via the in-built recorder, which can then be pulled from the device and shared with fans and friends.

Boasting eight effects (including ‘Beatmasher’, ‘Flanger’, ‘Delay’, ‘Gater’ and ‘Filter’), the app allows you to zoom in on the waveform, navigate around the track, set a cue point or loop, change tempo, record a mixtape and more.

If you haven’t tried it yet – you’re missing out, and now is your time to give it a go for free saving you an impressive £13.

One caveat: you need a device running iOS6.
