Bromance Records – the label setup by Brodinkski and Manu Barron, who founded Paris’ Social Club – are branching out into the US alongside Skrillex’s OWSLA imprint for Bromance US.
The newly formed US arm of the label already has their first release in the pipeline, with Canadian producer Illangelo’s album coming out on the new imprint on August 20.
After that, the label plans further releases from Louisahhh!!!, as well as new material from Brodinski & Theophilus London. There’s also talk of North and South American tours for the label’s burgeoning roster.
Brodinski explained the expansion: “We’ve had in mind to build a proper team in the US to help us for such a long time… Manu was working on other stuff with the OSWLA fellas at that time, and one night we all had dinner, nothing pro, just a huge friendly dinner.
“When we sat down later with Manu and the crew to talk about opening a new office / antenna out there, it goes without saying that it felt like something pretty obvious: they were our guys, the right team, the American extension of the family.”
