Ex-Mustanger Attar! has been treating us to numerous remixes over the last 12 months from acts as varied as the Gossip to the Citizens. And all of his hard work hasn’t been falling on deaf ears as Attar! was one of the first acts to be signed to Aeroplane’s new management company Aeropop, and from listening to ‘Folivora Parade’ you can easily see why they were so keen to snap him up.
It shares a lot in common with the tropical house and disco which saw numerous disco acts rise to fame over the last 3 years, but, thankfully Attar! has moved on a bit – there are obviously more house elements, but instead of falling into the dreaded generic nu-disco trap, Attar! shrewdly adds multiple layers of percussion to it give a more texture feel.
