While not much music has made it out of Alex Metric’s batcave during 2012, what has made it past his notoriously strict quality control has been of the highest calibre. His latest remix for Ellie Goulding will only go onto cement his position as one of the UK’s most in-demand remixers.
His remix of ‘Anything Could Happen’ follows his tried and tested approach of doing something genuinely interesting with the vocals he is presented with. Rather than choose the easy route he uses the ethereal vocal sparingly under the influence of a cocktail of effects to create a melancholic wave to draw you in, only then does he let it run wild during the breakdown which then leads into two expertly crafted drops of psychedelic goodness.
