Scottish electro head Burns has just dropped his first ever mix compilation CD, called European Sex Music, it’s a 2 CD affair and shows the young Scotsman’s talents as a DJ and producer.

His compilation is a tribute to debauchery, trashed hotel rooms, love bites, broken hearts, and lost weekends, and the 2 CD’s capture the rising star’s life on the road.

The first CD see’s Burns in full DJ mode, mixing thumping electro with a real flair and precision – the opening salvo’s are despatched with usual flair of a electro artist at the top of his game.

His combination of ‘Transmission’ and ‘Heavy Cross’ brought a big smile on our face and sets the CD on a steady incline, taking in cuts from The Gossip, Zombie Nation, Jan Driver to name a few.

The second CD is a more an eclectic affair and brings it down a notch or two – and quite right to, as the first CD doesn’t deal any eclectic compromises.

This CD is the perfect accompaniment to anyone who wants to prepare for a big Saturday night – big tracks, big bass and lashings of electro energy.

Burns is certainly someone to keep an eye out for and we for one can’t wait for his debut album, which we should see by the end of the year.

HBF Rating 8/10

And to celebrate how good this CD is Burns is giving away a new remix of the much-blogged ‘So Many Nights’ so does your self a favour and grab it now.
