Booka Shade’s new album is almost here and we love it – marking a return to the dance floor for the electronic duo from Berlin. This week saw the release of their second single from the album, called Bad Love, it features a guest vocal from fellow Get Physical head Chelonis.
He was the one of the first people to join Get Physical and was one of first artists they released. He was chosen as a guest vocalist and given a full song, after we heard snippets of him were on their previous album ‘Momentum’.
The new single comes with a plethora of different remixes in two different packages and with some amazing b-sides. Remixes come from; Kaiser Disco, Groove Armada, Cassius, Joe & Will Ask and Tim Green.
With the remixes come two new b-sides Buffer Ruffer and Smoking Mirrors – both tracks are stripped back club tracks and are sure to feature in their live shows this summer. Our personal favourite Smoking Mirrors is a driving tech house stomper, and Buffer Ruffer is an effects laden head masher and proves that Booka can still make pure club cuts.
