Well this is a blast from the past. Freeform Five are back with a new EP. It’s been 5 years since we’ve come across anything to do with man that brought us ‘No More Coversations’ which was then remixed by Mylo and became one of 2007’s big tracks.

Well, he’s back and with a EP is coming out this month via the always on the money Eskimo Records. First of all, the only original is a tribal house track, which might not be what you’d expect. And while it certainly won’t win any awards for excitement, it is a sophisticated patchwork of tribal drum patterns and off-kilter vocals courtesy of Juldeh Camara.

A little easier to decipher is the Freeform Five & Kevin McKay remix which is layers sophisticated loung-y disco synths over a chirpy 4/4 house beat for a grand cinematic house workout.

Out January 28 via Eskimo Records.
