Punctual's latest ear-worm 'What I Love' is soulful and sweet

Punctual are University friends Will Lansley and John Morgan from Bristol. Having clocked up an impressive 1.2 million streams on Spotify for their last ear-worm, ‘Eva’, the duo are back with the equally ear-worm-y ‘What I Love’.

Taken from their debut four-track EP ‘Fading Youth’, which is due for release later this summer, ‘What I Love’ is an indicator of the exciting journey ahead for the duo.

‘What I Love’ manages to rise above your average tropical pop thanks to the track’s main vocal, which is exquisite — it manages to be both soulful and sugary in equal measure and from there the track pretty much writes itself — so you’ve got bright sunshine synths, chatty disco percussion and plenty of thrumming basslines.

With a strings of DJ sets confirmed including sets at Lovebox, Boardmasters Festival and Birmingham’s Rainbow Warehouses, things are looking very promising for Punctual.
