We’re running out of superlatives for Psychemagik’s output recently, hence why we had to create a new one: tresdonkulous. Last year, the duo released a bevy of remixes and originals that we just were incredible in both deliver and variety, from space-out disco to club rumblers and everything in-between.
Their midas touch hasn’t deserted them in 2016, as their latest for Catz ‘n Dogz’s ‘Nobody Cares’ is seven minutes of contorting acid hooks, pulsing, gravely basslines and just the right of amount of quirkiness to make it stand out a mile.
Speaking about the remix which is taken from Catz ‘n Dogz’s forthcoming remix album the duo said: “The guys approached us to do a remix and for us ‘Nobody Cares’ really stood out. We’ve been fans for ages so it was a real honour and a great track. We tried to put our spin on it as usual and take it somewhere new. Our remix is amongst some other incredible names too – it’s gonna be a great release.”
‘Basic Colour Theory Remixed’ is out March 11 via Pets Recording.
