Drawing on a range of influences including UK garage, house, grime, funky and dubstep alongside the classics of disco, funk and soul, Australian-born, British-based Count Counsellor clearly takes a holistic approach to the influences in his music.

His latest, ‘Akidoutthere’, has been remixed by veteran UK producer, and Ninja Tune apostle, Beat Spacek (Steve Spacek), who takes the original to task stretching it out over 10-minutes of twisting cosmic synths lines and jittery percussion, all the while expertly threading Counsellor’s soulful vocals throughout.
