Italian noise maker Crookers makes his return to Defected Records with a positively chill cut of ice-cool house.

For someone who made a name for himself for going full-throttle on his productions, this kind of restraint is a breathe of fresh air. But it’s not without its risks – ‘Withdrawals’ isn’t like your average Crookers banger, and if you were wearing a tin foil hat it could said that it might alienate his old fans in the pursuit of new ones.

Thankfully, you can put away your hat as we’re glad to report that while ‘Withdrawals’ is icey cool, and restrained – it packs a serious punch with waves of bumpin’ basslines that propel the track forward alongside a restrained (there’s that word again) vocal from WILLS, who adds a different dimension to proceedings.

It’s Crookers – but not as we know it.

‘Withdrawals’ is out November 30, 2015.
