LoFrames is a new collaboration between British singer/songwriter/producer James Yuill and French producer Franck Russo, who you’ll probably know from his alias Freak You and his label On The Fruit.
They’ve already been getting a bit of attention with their track ‘Get Real’; a bouncy slice of synth pop. But it’s actually the b-side, ‘1996’, that’s caught our attention. Whilst ‘Get Real’ treads a fairly predictable formula, ‘1996’ seemingly breaks free of those shackles for a clever fusion of tangy synth-pop and lush acid house.
We’ll be keeping an eye on these two and you should too.
