Official.fm has launched a new series of artist curated playlists, called ‘I Got 6 On It’, which sees a variety of artists choosing tracks that have shaped their musical output, and we’re pleased to be premiering Lifelike’s selections.

Lifelike, who has just released his latest EP ‘Night Patrol’ via his own label,  was also kind enough to give us a blow-by-blow explanation for his choices for his ‘I Got 6 On It’ playlist.

1995 ‘103’ – “These young french guys are killer, this track is just like the good old days of ‘French Touch’ madness.”

Electric Youth ‘The Best Thing’ – “I met them before they started to have success with the soundtrack for the movie ‘Drive’, certainly the most promising pop band from America in years, the melodies are just amazing.”

Pacific! ‘Unspoken’ – “In my opinion the most underrated release that Alain “Braxe” Queme had on his label Vulture – too bad… this track is really great, got this 70’s psychedelic vibes, and beautiful vocals.”

Paperclip People ‘Throw’ – “That’s the project that got me into house music in the 90’s, Carl Craig was behind this project, its pure filter house years before Daft Punk invaded the charts, an absolute classic!

Chateau Marmont ‘The Fall & Decline of the Human Empire’ – “These guys are geniuses, thats it! I heard their album and was like “wow”.

Daft Punk feat. DJ Falcon ‘Contact’ – “I recall Falcon telling me the end of the track burned out the sound system when they listened to it, the track makes me feel good and gives me gooses bumps!”.
