Despite the worrying lack of original music bestowing the world at the moment, Parisian producer Crayon offers you a ray of light with his debut EP on Yuksek’s newly formed label Partyfine.

Consisting of 3 original tracks and three remixes, ‘Give You Up’ showcases the Parisian’s talents across a range of sonic intensities from the moody sci-fi of ‘Downgraders’ to the lead track ‘Give You Up’; a slice of shimmering feel-good disco pop with newcomer KLP on vocals. The final track ‘The Moon’ draws elements from the previous two tracks but offers it on a darker, more experimental palette.

Alongside the originals you have a selection of remixes as Yuksek delivers not one but two remixes of ‘Give You Up’; a pop-fuelled version alongside a trashy electro-clash dub. And then to finish off the EP you’ve two more remixes from Eskimo’s Blende and Darius who offer both electro-funk and disco remixes respectively.

Out now.
