Bronson’s ‘Diamonds’ is the 14th release from Belgian imprint Smile Recordings, the EP is a collaboration between Poka (Dimitris) and Etal (Vassilis), a brand new duo straight from Athens, Greece.

Their first joint collaboration was actually remix for Kris Menace’s ‘We Are’ released on Kris’ Compuphonic label, whilst ‘Diamonds’ is their first official release as a duo, with remixes from HBF favourite A.n.d.y., Rick Shiver and Supreems.

‘Diamonds’ is a boyant piece of disco house with a heavy emphasis on melody and the main vocal line – it’s all then backed up by squelching disco basslines and plenty of handclaps.

Rising star A.n.d.y. is first up for the remixes and takes a ‘Diamonds’ down a few notches for a thoughtful melodic rework – it’s quite unlike anything we’ve heard from the Belgian, but when the piano line comes in you know you’re onto a winner.

Rick Shiver is on hand to give the a-side a straight-up house remix, again, it’s all about the melody which is intwined with the vocal for a less-is-more approach to his remix.

And to finish off the package, Supreems add a downbeat minimal techno vibe to proceedings, it’s not exactly our favourite but will no doubt find traction with ketno fans a like.
