Frankfurt tech-house duo Booka Shade are back with a new single ‘White Noise’ which sees the duo team-up with long-term collaborator Chelonis R Jones.

The duo, who originally started by making synth pop, went on to release several incredibly well-recieved albums via German imprint Get Physical during the early noughties, whilst cementing themselves as veterans of the Frankfurt electronic scene.

‘Blackout: White Noise’ is classic Booka; snappy tech-house beats, stabbing acid riffs, all wrapped around a looped Chicago house vocal courtesy of Chelonis R Jones, that reminded me of Green Velvet’s ‘Flash’.

It’s probably fair to say ‘Black Noise’ isn’t the duos strongest song, but once you hit the breakdown and full drive it goes from run-of-the-mill tech-house to something a lot more befitting of the duos infamous legacy.

Booka Shade’s fifth studio album is expected sometime this summer.
