Edvin Van Cleef, is a new disco dude who is following in the footsteps of many trance artists who have “Van” in their name – he has done this quite obviously to take the piss out of them and quite right too.
We know that this isn’t his real name, because he is from Leeds, and if any of you know Leeds, it’s the sort place where you would get beaten up for having a name like “Edwin”. Maybe he wants to hide the fact he’s from the north or maybe he just wants to be Dutch. Who knows. All we know is it’s the least Yorkshire name we’ve ever heard and that must be applauded.
As with many of these nu-disco artists he’s likes to do monthly mixes, just like Aeroplane, Mighty Mouse, The Magician and many others. Well, we have been a bit slow on uptake, not sure why but his October mix looked too good to ignore. Especially the last track.
