Acid Invaders are a trio from Belugium, who don’t make disco, this was a surprise for us, fortunately they make acid-tinged techno/disco bangers – so all is not lost, more Soulwax than Aeroplane. They have a new EP out on the 18th of October and it’s already getting support from some notable peeps including Djuma Soundsystem amongst others. They are giving away the Copland mix of the title track “Rave on Kids” away for free.
Both tracks are harsh pounding nu-acid house, they’re sizzling with some rocking bass-lines and off-key synths – on one side is the Copland mix of “Rave on Kids” sounds a lot like the cocaine addict Flat Eric. On the other side you have “You Should Have Known Better” a proper acid house workout. This is some acid we can finally get on board with, of course it would take a Belgian to do this.
