It’s no secret we have penchant for distorted electro gems, and Yes I Am certainly grabbed our attention with his track “Be There In 5”. Hailing from Portugal his real name is Pedro Rodrigues and citied Kavinksy’s 1986 as big influence on some his tracks. He is also a drum and bass producer too.
When you hear that synonymous sample of a police siren in “Be There In 5”, you’ll automatically think “1986”, but it’s not a cheap rip-off, he’s added some decent Justice 909 drums and some lovely synth action.
