Saytek will be performing live this weekend at Sankeys to launch the Zoo Project’s much anticipated “Live From The Other Side” which is the follow-up to last years “Live From The Seal Pit”.
This year has seen Saytek rise to underground hero, but he has been player in the scene for almost 10 years. With his use of innovative technology including; Roland hardware, a Kaos pad 3, Ableton live 8, a Novation Xiosynth and a myriad of other noise mangling gadgets.
Saytek aka Joseph Keevill has managed to add a depth and richness to the mix which perfectly captures his take on house and techno and the Zoo Project; bouncy, sometimes dark some times fun, underground and made for the dance-floor.
All the loops and patterns which weave and work their way throughout this mix were written, produced and performed live by Joseph Keevill. Whilst that separates him from his peers as a truly live DJ, it also adds a continuous flow to the mix, making it all the more a seamless journey from one electronic territory to another.
With this mix Saytek showcases his ability to improvises on the fly; making music, sounds and noises at whim, and in the process winning fans like Laurent Garnier, Kevin Saunderson, John Digweed, Peace Division, Carl Cox, Claude Von Stroke.
