US-based producer Amtrac has reworked Sigur Rós ‘Heysatan’ – and he’s giving his swashbuckling remix away for free.

Sigur Rós are, of course, a legendary Icelandic post-rock band from Reykjavík, who have been active since 1994. Known for their ethereal sound, frontman Jónsi’s falsetto vocals, and the use of bowed guitar, the band has inspired countless musicians over the years with their unique brand of classically-tinged rock.

And that’s what you get with Amtrac’s tasteful rework; golden-hued melodies, a sturdy four-four beat and sweeping textures that give ‘Heysatan’ a new lease of life.
