Erik Hassle is a Stockholm-based singer songwriter who’s recently worked with Gorgon City, Tinashe and wrote the hit single ‘Can’t Remember to Forget You’ by Rihanna & Shakira.
When he’s not penning power pop ballads for others, the hotly-tipped Swedes’ solo work inhibits best of indie, pop and disco that has drawn comparisons to Prince’s early work.
We’ve bagged the exclusive premier of Copy Paste Soul’s remix of Hassle’s ‘No Word’. The Londoner – who’s a regular fixture on Exploited Records – takes the original’s positivity and wraps it up in bouncy basslines, doughy pads, and snappy percussion.
Eric Hassle’s ‘No Word’ remixes EP will be released next week, August 7, and features remixes from Copy Paste Soul, Kasbo, Haerts, Digital Farm Animals and The Knocks.
