As Souncloud struggles to keep the faithful onside, Mixcloud has developed a clever tool that allows Soundcloud users to import their sounds to Mixcloud.
While Mixcloud is predominantly for long-form mixes, podcasts and DJ sets, the new tool allows users to connect their Soundcloud account to their Mixcloud account and import their sounds to the UK-based music service.
It’s hardly an ideal solution for some but it’s nice to see other services positioning themselves in a post-Soundcloud era, we’re not quite there yet but it does look like the writing is on the wall, especially given this week’s news that Sony has begun to remove its content from Soundcloud.
