Vitalic has been quite quiet on the production front of late, which ususally means he is hard at work making new music, but he has found time to upload a new track to his Soundcloud and it’s a new remix for Crystal Castle’s ‘Suffocation’ – it’s sounds very similar to the style he went for with his last album ‘Flashmob’ – which means it’s sounding very good indeed.

Electronic innovator Vitalic is doing a one of special show in Notthingham on March 20th – his live shows are retina-scorching, brain-meltingly brilliant. He is now at level that he can be compared to some of the greatest electronic live performers like; Daft Punk, The Chemical Brothers and Kraftwerk.

His debut full-length “Ok Cowboy” made waves back in 2005 with his blend of smarter-than-average synths and weirder-than-average samples.

Vitalic returned on 2009 with his amazing Flashmob full-length; confirming what many had already thought that Vitalic is a innovator and a true pioneer.

Flashmob was loaded with blisteringly compressed production, brutal beats and madly addictive tunes (we should know the album has been in our CD changer for 6 months).

The Frenchman’s multilayered productions have seen him playing at Matter and he will be headlining Snowbombing in a few weeks.

After producing probably the best album of the year with ‘Flashmob’ Vitalic has been amazing audiences all over the world with his live show and DJ sets.

This mix features noisy french-electro with dollops new material from Flashmob, including ‘Chicken Lady’ and ‘One and Above’. Also look out for Boys Noise and Felix Da Housecat as well.

After the great news that Vitalic will be the headlining Snowbombing 2010, we have been on the lookout for a Vitalic live set  and we have just found one.

Featuring tracks from his fantastic new album Flashmob it’s well worth a listen.

The eagerly awaited initial line-up Snowbombing 2010 has just been announced for the mega festival in the Alps in Mayerhofen, Austria.

Vitalic, James Zabiela, Ewan Pearson, Adam Beyer and The Revenge will all play at next year’s edition of the Austrian festival.

With 625 KM’s of pistes, Austria’s steepest piste, a 3286m glacier and an award-winning terrain park – Snowbombing has been a massive success over the years and 2010 promises to be the best yet.

The jewel in their electronic crown for this next year’s event will be Vitalic Live, which should draw heavily on material from this year’s Flashmob LP while including classic tracks such as his breakthrough hit “La Rock 01.”

Most of the dance music action is going on behind the decks with, Brodinksi, Kris Menace, Riva Star, Jack Beats and Fake Blood will all be bringing their own variants on electro house.

Ewan Pearson, Sasse, Slam and Adam Beyer will cater to the more house and techno savvy of the crowd.

There will be plenty of other activities culminating in a huge fancy dress street party, which always promises to be one of the highlights of the festival.

Vitalic – otherwise known as Dijon-born and bred Pascal Arbez-Nicolas – is part of a dying breed.

In a time when words such as “pioneer” and “trendsetter” get tossed around far too easily, Vitalic certainly deserves it more than most.

With the release “Poney EP”, followed by his seminal 2005 debut “OK Cowboy”, Vitalic is said to have singlehandedly invented a whole new chapter of dance music.

A host of imitators quickly followed in its wake, but none could quite match his breathless spirit of adventure and experimentation.

After a four-year break, Vitalic is back with “Flashmob”, a brand new album Comprising 13 razor-sharp nuggets of perfectly formed, ruthlessly effective electro.

It’s a stunning return to the musical landscape, and one that is certain to knock everyone for six.
