So let’s all take a deep breathe. There is a new Justice single coming out April 4th, it’s all part of massive marketing campaign for Adidas, with Justice’s single taking centre stage for the advertising campaign.

The advert has been seen by some people and according to the interwebs, it’s being released in 6 seconds clips up to the proper release. Well some cheeky chappy has got the audio from the full advert, and here we have it. Were going with this is real, we’ll know more very soon.

Daft Punk have spoken for the first time about their highly anticipated Tron Legacy soundtrack, talking to Dazed & Confused they spoke candidly about the pressure of the experience, the necessity to expand their sound to use a full orchestra, and how they’re trying educated people on the virtues of classical music.

“This project is by far the most challenging and complex thing we have ever been involved with,” declares Thomas on their Tron: Legacy soundtrack. “Coming from our background of making electronic music in a small bedroom, and ending up having our music performed by a 90-piece orchestra, with some of the best musicians in the world…We are lucky to have had the opportunity to experience some powerful moments artistically over the years, but recording this orchestra was a very intense experience.”

After Daft Punk were reassured by Disney that they weren’t just going to make a copy of the first Tron – it appears that Daft Punk took some time to consider the magnitude of the project.

“As soon as we saw the filmmaker was not trying to copy the first [Tronmovie],” says Thomas, “But expand it after almost 30 years, we thought it was interesting. Then we questioned ourselves as to whether or not it was something we could actually do.”

“The most pressure we feel is always from ourselves, even in a project like this. I think that is why we took so much time before we jumped on board, so we could guarantee our freedom and room for experimentation in this environment – it’s a dream factory. Hollywood is at the corner of imagination and industry.”

Daft Punk then went into detail about the decision to move away from their traditional sound, as they immediately realised that they wouldn’t be able to do the project from a small bedroom, with two synthesers and a 808 drum machine.

“We knew from the start that there was no way we were going to do this film score with two synthesizers and a drum machine,” he adds, having cited Max Steiner, Bernard Herrmann, John Carpenter, Vangelis and Maurice Jarre as inspirations.

Thomas stresses the timelessness of orchestral instruments relative to electronic tools. “A cello was there 400 years ago and will still be here in 400 years. But synthesizers that were invented 20 years ago will probably be gone in the next 20. Synths are a very low level of artificial intelligence. Whereas you have a Stradivarius that will live for a thousand years. In the past, we have worked with clashing genres like disco and heavy metal, and here we would do it with film scores…this idea of the ultimate retro-futurism.”

Disney has just released the first footage of Daft Punk’s cameo in Tron Legacy, alongside the not-so-secret track “Derezzed”.

The two-headed Norwegian monster Röyksopp have just pooped over their latest in a long line of free track giveaways, this month they’ve unleash fan-favorite (that’s what they’ve been told) ” I Wanna Know”.

Disney have just popped over the first picture of Daft Punk’s suits for their cameo appearance in Disney’s Tron Legacy – and we can’t help but think they’ve got it spot-on, now roll on the soundtrack, the film and hopefully the live tour.

“They wanted to maintain their image, as they should, but they were also really excited about doing a Tron version of their look,” Tron Legacy’s costume designer Christine Bieselin Clarktold InTheMix of the duo’s attitude to what they should be wearing in their cameo appearance in the film.

“We did do leathers, we did do things that were very Daft Punk, but then we put the whole Tron stamp on it and they couldn’t have been happier about how it turned out. We just did a photo-shoot with them and it’s so funny, they seem really excited to just be in the suits. They loved it.”

Just when we thought that we would be hearing the Tron Soundtrack way before the film opens at the cinema, Disney have pulled the rug from under us and pushed back the release from 22nd November to December 7th.

By way of an apology Disney has unveiled half of the poster that you will get if you pre-order the deluxe edition. Looks pretty sweet already, likely to look even better when we see the final version.

So, after the news that there was a secret track nestled in the Tron Soundtrack website, Greek producer NTEIBINT (we can’t pronounce it,) sent over a email informing us that the track was a unmastered WAV and he had taken the 19 seconds and made a full track. Sweet.

We all know by now that Daft Punk are doing the Tron soundtrack, right ? Well, the management company for the secretive duo have confirmed that they robots will be touring theie new material from the Tron OST.

The Daily Swarm spoke with the managing partner, and head of music for CAA (the firm the represents the duo), who said that he expects “the film soundtrack and tour will lead a dance music juggernaut worldwide.” He added, “This is going to be the biggest tour of next year.”

Additionally, sources have speculated that the band will also be doing surprise live sets and film screenings leading up to the film’s premiere and are potentially playing the film’s Hollywood premiere.

If you haven’t seen Daft Punk, you have missed out, their Alive 2007 performance has yet to be topped by any artist and their Tron one promises to be bigger and better.

An introduction to Senior by the band

Junior and Senior have a kinship, in that they represent Röyksopp’s two very different artistic expressions. Junior – with emphasis on vocals, accessible melodies and harmonies, has the energy, the inquisitive temper and confident “hey-ho, let’s go!”-attitude of youth, whereas Senior is the introverted, dwelling and sometimes graceful counterpart – brimfull with dark secrets and distorted memories, insisting “I’m old, I’ve got experince…”. Senior is furthermore an album about age, horses and being subdued – with devils breathing down your neck.

Senior was written as a complete set of tracks, each designated to take a specific part in the bigger piece. All individual tracks have been made with the intent of coexisting with the other tracks on the album.

Each track is equally as important as its predecessor and successor. We feel that none of the tracks should be regarded outside of this context, ie. separated from the rest of the album. Quite a brave/stupid thing to do in this day & age of iPods and cherrypicking, one might suggest. We couldn’t agree more – hell that’s even probably why we did it.

Röyksopp will be teaming up with The Hype Machine and Soundcloud to give you an exclusive listen to their new album Senior on Monday, a full week before the album drops on the 13 September.

We featured a couple of tracks a couple of weeks ago and they were immense everything Röyksopp are about, down-beat triptastic chill out music.

Röyksopp are almost ready to release their new album and they have made a rather strange video which previews some of the new tracks from Senior which is out 13 September.

It’s a montage of some form of retirement home all through the eye’s of Roksopp, very strange indeed.

They told us: “We had a vision, and in this vision we saw ourselves as a sleeping hobo and an old man respectively. The following is a vivid depiction of some of the events that occurred during an intended stay in Barbieland. And remember, It’s a true story….”. Yeah okay guy’s we believe you.

It is a melancholic mash-up of sorts, using elements from a few sources, with the track ‘This Space’, by the excellent Woolfy vs. Projections as the starting point. As usual, we have gone on a complete journey with this, and think we have come up with a perfect late summer cinematic – we hope you agree!

Could this be snippets of the second CD – it has been reported that they have done 24 tracks – maybe a score CD and a proper dance CD version. Let’s hope so, and whoever sent the comment, get it contact and let us know where you came by this.

In a week where Daft Punk have courted a load press – they gone and sent the interweb into overdrive, six tracks of Daft Punk’s uber-anticpated Tron Legacy soundtrack have just appeared on a American Radio Station The End, now we have heard snippets already, but these seem to be the real deal, the first proper taste of the soundtrack, the first couple have music from the two trailers and the rest no body knows. You Decide.

They range from 30 seconds to a couple of minutes – for me they are real. But not full tracks.

That’s right ! The release date for Daft Punks Tron Legacy soundtrack has been announced as November 23rd, according to reports from Inthemox.au and is a full month before the film lands.

It will the latest CD from the French robots since their grammy award-winning Alive 2007 CD, there are rumours circulating the interweb that it will previewed at the Comic-con in a couple of weeks – with the possibilty of a live performance. Though is unlikely. We’ll know more soon.

Following the unveiling of the new Chemical Brothers track Swoon last week, Dutch electro head Don Diablo has already made a remix. And it pretty frickin’ sweet.

You can check out the original cut of ‘Swoon’ here. The new remix is our tip for the anthem of the summer. He has managed to make a great tune into an amazing one. It’s one for the dancefloor, but it remains true to original.

Following hot the heels of the their 12-minute dancefloor bombardment that is Escape Velocity, The Chemical Brothers have just released their first track from their new album ‘Further’

Called ‘Swoon’ it’s a summertime, drug induced, slice of brilliance and it accompanied by impressive visuals from long-time collaborators Adam Smith and Marcus Lyall aka Flat Nosed George.

The new album, Further, will be released on Freestyle Dust / Parlophone Records June 14th.

The Chemical Brothers are set to release their new album soon and now you can hear the fruits of their labour with the 12-minute epic Escape Velocity.

Their new album will be release on June 7th, called Further, it’s their seventh album and will be accompanied by 8 short films for each track.

The last track that was leaked from the upcoming Tron Legacy soundtrack was ruled a phony this week and now their is another.

A leaked track has surfaced on the internet and URB, called “The Crash”, it’s 12 minutes long and comes from Fairtilizer.

We think this might be real deal, but again this has not been confirmed by anyone close to the robots.

Daft Punk’s last album Human After All was leaked in its entirety a full three months before its release so this leak has the potential to be real.

Last October a two minute cut of a track called “Fragile” was leaked onto the internet and was reportedly taken from Daft Punk’s new Tron legacy soundtrack.

Fast forward 4 months and the full track has now been leaked – it’s not that much different from the first leak, but it is the full the full version and worth a listen.

From what we have heard and seen so far Tron Legacy looks amazing and let’s hope that the Punk’s beat the hype and deliver – we will know in 6 months.
