Were getting to the end of 2010 and soon we will start cherry picking artists we think are going to have a special 2011 – and the first nomination goes to Villa, they’ve been banging out the tracks all year and more recently with amazing remix of Digitalism’s “Blitz”.

We recently featured the fantastic Fouck Brothers and we were so impressed we needed to find out more. So we decided to pitch them 20 quick-fire questions to see what they are made of. Describe your sound in 5 words? Beer, pot, vintage-synths, dance, fun

What are your names? Gil, Andy and Julien.

Why are you called the Fouck Brothers? It comes from our family name.

How long have you been making music? A long time ago, more than 10 years ago.

What are plans for 2010? A new ep, and of course share our music.

Belgium has a lot of great artist is there something in the water over their? Yeah, there so many different talents in Belgium, like Mustang (new disco), Komah (Hxc), or Netsky in Dnb/House.

What’s the best gig you’ve played recently? Not the biggest gig but the best was @ L’international in Paris.

What was the first record you ever bought? Andy, it was “Homework” from Daft Punk, Gil, it was “Chocolate starfish…” from LB, and Julien, it was “Raoul and the kings of Spain” from Tears For Fears.

Which artists inspired you make music? Patrick Cowley, James Maynard, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kyuss, Daft Punk, Fat Boy Slim, Beck, Telex, Two Man Sound,…

Who is your biggest fan? Our parents.

Who is your biggest critic? Our dads too.

Best song you have heard in 2010? Junkie XL “Heart Of Darkness”.

Worst song you have heard this year? Sorry we don’t watch MTV.

What’s the best Club in Belgium? The“Libertine Supersport” club in Brussels is becoming one of the best in Belgium, in Europe maybe. It is the place to be, for sure!

If you could save one piece of equipment from your studio what would it be? Andy, I would save my Juno 106, Gil, I would prefer to die with my equipment, and Julien, I would save my favourite guitar.

Favourite album of the naughties? “ Bring it on” from Goose.

Are you brothers? Yes we are the Fouck Brothers.

Favourite Film? The Goonies.

Best piece of advice you have been given? Never back down.

The Fouck Brothers are a name you are sure to come across more and more if their latest EP is anything to go by, they’re a new trio from Belgium and they sound like a young and fresh Soulwax – they’re giving away 4 amazing tracks for you to sample for free.

The fantastic Aeroplane from Belgium were chosen as the 500th DJs to do the world’s favourite mix show. And if you missed it you hear it right here. They announced their debut would be out on September 6 and will be released on Wall of Sound. Listen out for the title track, We can’t fly which is the first song on the mix.

Mustang are tipped to be the next big thing from the same country that gave us; Compuphonic, Soulwax, Aeroplane, MVSC the list goes on and on – Belgium of course.

Hailing from Brussels and comprising of Renaud aud Deru who is one of Belgium’s hottest talents, he has spent the last 7 years as the energetic Cosy Mozzy, and now is throwing all of his energy into Mustang.

His partner in crime is Andy Faisca the son of talented guitarist, he begun to collect hardware synthesizers when he was just 13 years old – now 10 years on these machines make the main parts of their songs

So we know that they posses the right genes to make great music and it comes in the form of nu-disco of the Italian variety.

With slow deep melodic percussion layered with disco-synths – it’s just what we need for the cold harsh winters.

Aeroplane have just dropped their first mix of a new decade and it’s the usual mix of synth-pop, funk and Italo disco.

Aeroplane exploded on the scene in August 2009 with their first monthly mix and 6 mixes later they are still taking the blogs and clubs by storm with their take on indie-disco.

And with a album reportedly dropping early 2010 things are looking rosey for Vito De Luca & Stefan Fassano.

We have their new January mix recorded in the home of neutrality Brussels.

Revolving Eyes are a Belgium boy girl duo who are going to big in 2010 – their must be something in the water in Belgium as their are so many great artists coming out of Belgium at the moment.

Inspired by the cosmic sounds of the 80′s the results are a mix of bombastic modern electronica, italo-disco and wave sounds.

Having already released four killer records on their own Moderne Label and with incessant touring around Belgium and Europe they ones to watch in 2010.

We have a mix they performed at the infamous Libertine Supersport.

We mentioned Belgium’s Cosy Mozzy last week as he is part of disco collective Mustang, well he’s not finished with his old guise Cosy Mozzy and has produced a mix celebrating a new decade of dance music.

Belgium dance-duo Aeroplane are back with their next mix and probably it’s their best yet!

Aeroplane is s Belgium-based project of Stephen Fasano and Vito De Luca. Think psyché guitars, pop keys, melancholic waves and catchy bass lines meets disco beats.

As DJ’s they are residents at the well-known Make Up Club in Ghent, where they play a mix of old and nu disco, psyche pop, classic house & Balearic.

Aeroplane will be performing at Creamfields, in leafy Cheshire on Saturday 29th August and Sunday 30th August 2009.
