Anyone who is a fan of Soulwax and 2 Many DJ’s has been waiting patiently for Soulwax to launch their new website – the aptly name RadioSoulwax.com is a online radio station where the David and Steph plan to have a full 24 hours of new 2 Many Dj’s mixes.

Well great news, it has finally gone live. After plenty of money and 2 years spent the first program is streaming now – it’s called ‘Introversy’ and is a mix of intro’s consisting of 420 in just 1 hour – it’s simply stunning and if you’ve not heard it before you’re in a for a real treat.

Over the next few months they will be adding a new show every week, culminating in a 24-hour musical and visual ‘experience’. Instead of releasing another 2manydjs mix album, they’ve tried to come up with something different, a new way to share music.

They have decided to go back to all the great little gems they have found over the years, it’s basically a free trip through their ever expanding record collection, into the many boxes they’ve carried back from record stores in their hometown, or shipped back from all corners of the world.

You can listen to (or watch) their continuous internet radio stream on the website, check the schedule to find out which hour airs when, or alternatively you can download the iPhone app so you can choose which show to listen to (even when not connected to the internet). If you can’t wait until September for your fix of The Warehouse Project, then fear not, they have just announced that the Project will return over Easter with four massive parties planned.

Running from April 1st-4th it’s full of massive names and will be the only weekend prior to the main September – December run.

Kicking off on Thursday will be 2Many djs and Annie Mac, Friday will be Drum & Bass via Hospitality including Roni Size and High Contrast, Carl Cox will be making his WHP debut alongside Eric Prydz on Saturday, and ending the weekend will be Dubfire and the Cocoon crew.

Over the last 12 months there has been a resurgence of Disco music and it is taking over the dance floors of many of the world’s best clubs.

This has been very apparent recently with the runaway success of Aeroplane and 2 many DJ’s who have been infusing Disco with a four-on-the-floor beat for months now.

Strings, horns, electric pianos and electric guitars create lush sounds full of melody and soul which makes Disco less computer driven and more organic.

The song we have for you today is very much from the Chic school of disco featuring a classic double-base and tight organic percussion, a classic vocal sample and a fantastic piano riff.

This song exemplifies the history of disco with funk and soul influences featuring throughout.

Disco has been influential on several dance music genres that have emerged since, such as House, Techno and Nu-disco.

Let’s hope that his isn’t a passing phase and more a general shift from commercial rubbish funky house to Disco.
