Last week saw the launch of a new ‘social’ music store which looks to revolutionise the way you purchase new music, called mFlow, it looks to marry buying music with social aspects of Twitter and Facebook.

The way it works is very clever, mFlow has 2 million tracks from many artists and labels and allows you to purchase new music for 79p at 320 quality – nothing new their then.

Part of the revolution comes via your Flow; when you sign up to the system you are given a username and you can follow other artists and labels, blogs or friends.

They can recommend songs which will then show up on your flow screen, if you buy a track that has been recommended by a fellow user they will receive 20% of the value of the track as credit to their account.

The ‘Follow’ system is very similar to Twitter’s following, it’s looks to change the way that we digest music. mFlow allows you users to listen to as many 30 second clip of a track. Thus protecting the track from unscupulous recording that can happen on Spotify.

The catalogue already has over 2 million tracks in it, from labels including Beggars Group (XL Recordings), PIAS, Domino, INgrooves, EPM, Skint, Republic Of Music, 360, Toolroom, Buzzin’ Fly, Ministry of Sound and Freerange Records – with many more on the way.

Sharing music through mFlow is a genuinely fun experience and we hope that mFlow takes off and is another fantastic way to find great new music.
