Well we’re almost there. In what feels like a lifetime of waiting Daft Punk’s new album will be out this time next week. Can’t wait until then? Well, the Robot’s 4th studio album, ‘Random Access Memories’, will be streamed via iTunes before the album’s official release next week.
So Daft Punk have spoken about their new album with Radio 1′s Pete Tong, and we’ve got a few juicy details to share with you: firstly there won’t be any proper videos for the future singles, apparently the duo don’t want to cloud the music with too many visuals. Secondly, when pressed about remixes, the Robot’s said they’re considering remixing themselves, which would be a first for the duo. The thought of a Daft Punk remixes version of the album could well be the best news we’ve heard all year.
Well some cheeky chappy has seemingly managed to record a snippet of Giorgio Moroder’s collaboration with Daft Punk presumably at one of Colombia Records’ listening parties, be warned, though, the track is only a couple of minutes long (not the full 9 minutes) and has been captured is really low quality. Check it out before it’s inevitably removed.
