The fine folks behind Manchester clubbing staple The WareHouse Project will be returning to Manchester’s Plattfields in Fallowfield this summer for the third Parklife festival. Today they announced the lineup and it’s quite something. We’ll stop talking now while you take it all in.
The Warehouse Project has taken the UK & Manchester clubbing scene by storm over the last 5 years – well it’s the final run of events at the Store Street venue – and to this end the people behind the WHP have created one of the finest line-ups in the world.
We were lucky enough to get a special preview of Bjork’s new live show at Manchester’s International Festival last night. Over the last 3 years Bjork has been beavering away in her Icelandic volcano on new all-encompassing multimedia concept album – which has the potential to change the way we buy albums forever.
The HBF team went to sample the Swedish House Mafia’s tour, as the hedonism touched down for one night only on Friday, at the Manchester Apollo.
Vutlure are having a good ol’ fashioned french house ho-down at the Social Club in Paris on the 18 of June. The God father Alan Braxe will be DJ’ing alongside Alex Gopher, Das Glow and Star Smith.
On June 4 The Playground will play host to a night of performances from some of the freshest and most exciting producers out there right now. Acts include Eskmo, Dels and Kwes to name but a few, all performing for a London audience at this exciting exclusive event.
Another fine night of french electro goodness from the peeps over at Playground as they host as 80′s electro cartoon character Kavinsky at XOYO, and he’s also decided to bring Ed Banger’s art department Feadz along for some London shenanigans too.
Head honcho of Dub Pistols, Barry Ashworth, unleashes yet another show-stopping breakbeat mix in time for a string of DJ and LIVE shows that will see him and his band cover the length and breadth of Europe, stopping in Austria, Switzerland, France, Germany, Greece, Poland, Chez Republic and countless dates across the UK’s club-land and festival circuit.
Global Gathering have got quite a scalp for this year’s event, with the only Eric Prydz EPIC festival UK show, and from what we’ve heard and seen it looks like one the most exciting shows that you’ll probably see all year.
