Jerry Bouthier, aka JBag, of Kitsune fame, is starting his own label Continental Records – and the first act he’s championing is French synth pop duo Reflex.

Check out the minimix from their debut EP and also check their fantastic remix of Museum’s debut single.

The EP will be released on February 27 with remixes from the boss JBAG, Bitchee Bitchee Ya Ya Ya, Kido Yoji and Second Date.

Mysterious new Italo artist Letthemusicplay is giving away his debut track – we’ve no idea who this person is – but he/she is already getting support from the 2 Bears, Jacques Renault, A-Trak and Pete Tong.

If we were to have a guess – we’d say it might have something to do with………..well we have no idea. Not only can you download the original from the mysterious artist, but there’s also a remix of the original by Letthemusicplay too.

It’s all a bit like Inception but with remixes.

Esoteric electro duo Logo made a remix for Django Django’s ‘Default’ unfortunately they missed the deadline and the remix never made it to our speakers – well they’re giving it away to first 100 people who manage to snag it. Ready. Set. Go.

Fare Soldi have always been synonymous for being a little bit whacky (read our interview for conclusive proof), but when they announced they’d be giving away 12 tracks over the course of 2012 – we thought they’d eaten a dodgy batch of mamma’s special bolognese.

Well it’s true. The disco dudes from Italy are giving away a free track on the last friday of each month and they’re are calling the series ‘Paghetta’, which is italian for ‘allowance’ – grab the ludicrously happy go-lucky ‘Disco Durello’ below.

LA-based Australian disco producer Plastic Plates sounds like he has made the difficult jump from making great remixes to making even better originals with his new track ‘Toys’.

Grab it for free and be sure to keep an eye on him in 2012.

Mighty Mouse dropped another one of their stellar re-works today and they’ve performed their disco surgery on the Gaga of the 80′s: Kate Bush and her track ‘Cloudbusting’.

Check it out below and be on the lookout for the third installment of their popular Disco Circus, which will have tracks from Oliver, Gigamesh and The Magician and will be released in March.

There are people in life who go with the flow, then there are people who like to go against the grain – Scottish techno producer Esq is definitely from the latter.

We remember writing about him a few months ago and said: “if Esq made techno it would sound like Siriusmo” – a bold claim – well Esq is back to prove a point.

L’Etranger is the moniker for French touch producer Ben Thomas, who is actually from the UK , we’ve never really heard of him before, but with any submission with the words French, Touch and Crydamoure in it, we thought it was worth a listen.

He’s re-edited Deelat’s ‘Wetness Athem’, which a classic French Touch track from Crydamoure (Guy-Manuel De Christo’s label, who is of course one half of Daft Punk), so you can expect to hear happy horns, cut-up samples, chatty kicks and claps – everything an French touch aficionado needs. Grab it for free and keep an ear out for L’Etranger in 2012.

The third great remix in a row for Swiss-kid Show Your Shoe, this time it’s for Portuguese producer SaiR and his track ‘Clockwise’.

Nico creates an infectious cocktail of piano stabs, spongy analog basslines, served on his tight Swiss beats. He’s managed to that find a finite balance between his usual micro-funk output and more aggressive club disco and house – it’s already being tipped as his finest remix to date, and we couldn’t agree more.

South African producer Who Killed JR has dragged M83′s seminal track ‘Midnight City’ well and truly into the world of 21st century shiny disco.

He takes it to the surgeons table and slices and dices it into a dance track, we’ve taken a peep at his soundcloud, and he’s clearly a prolific remixer with varying levels of success (we did like his Robot Rock re-edit), now we just need some original material to really know where we stand, certainly one to keep an eye on for next year.

Troumaca are a indie group from Birmingham, but they’re not just your ordinary indie group, they like to experiment with club sounds – so you can expect to hear bits of ‘step, dub and other colourful influences in their music.

It’s quite a combination, but if you like what Bodi Bill are doing, then they’re a logical progression. It’s not too showy, or cynical, but really adds some depth to their music – imagine if Trentemoller made dubstep and you’ve got Troumaca.

This tropically inspired 5 piece from Birmingham via St Vincent & The Grenadines, will release their debut EP, ‘The Gems’, as a free download from 12th December 2011.
