It’s hard to believe its been two years since we’ve heard any original material from Mighty Mouse. Having made welcome return in August with a remix for The Penelopes (which you can also hear below) The man behind the mouse is back with a brand-new intergalactic cut, dubbed ‘Nueva Vida’.
The third instalment of his Disco Battle Weapons series, the series is a home for his more club-facing experimentalism.
“I started this series to do more experimental club tracks, try different things,” said Mighty Mouse’s Matthew Haymes. “I wrote ‘Nueva Vida’ whilst having a mini-break from working on the Du Tonc album, staring at the sea in the south of Spain. So I guess you could say it’s a little balearic. It’s meant to be a happy track.”.
Hopefully we won’t have to wait another two years for the next instalment.
