When it comes to remixes you cannot please everyone, some fans want remixes to stay true to the original whilst other want a remixes that will work in the club for example.

Solomun has done the later with his remix of Jamiroquai’s ‘Superfresh’ elongating the original into a 8-minute remix that’s festooned with deep, purposeful basslines, snappy house percussion and just a few snatches of the original’s vocals.

But some Jamiroquai fans just don’t seem to get the his club-ready remix judging by some of the Youtube comments.

“What a GENERIC remix! It has very little to do with ”Superfresh,” bemoaned J. Cesar.

Whilst Rittchie Rosson said: “Sorry, I love Jamiroquai but IMO this is dreadful. Sounds like the bland repetitive music you get in most nightclubs.”

Anyway, we think it’s one of Solomun’s better remixes and sees the Diynamic boss combining a gallooping house beat with a disco-ish veneer for a proper chugging club workout.

More of this, please.
